I am Luke McDonnell, the Neighbourhood Inspector for Wilmslow NPU. I am responsible for policing in the town of Wilmslow and the surround areas of Colshaw Farm, Styal, Alderly Edge, Lacey Green, Handforth, Morley & Styal, Hough, Fulshaw, and Dean Row.

My challenge is to make Wilmslow and Alderley Edge a safe place to live and to make the residents feel safer at all times. I aim to achieve this by providing a high degree of professionalism and excellence in policing activity, making it firmly citizen focused. Wilmslow and Alderley Edge must be viewed as a no-go area for criminals and people who wish to engage in anti-social behaviour.

I believe passionately in communities and the value of partnership working. Communities must have the opportunity and capacity to influence priorities, help solve problems and hold public services to account. The health of a community improves when everyone takes part. It is vital that the police in Wilmslow have a detailed and regularly updated picture of the interests, needs, and priorities of the communities. We will have an ongoing and consistent dialogue with all sections of the community, listening, acting and reporting back on actions.

My priorities will be for my officers to be both visible and accessible. We will work in partnership to reduce crime and the fear of crime. We will provide a high quality service to our communities, victims and witnesses.
