The Wilmslow Lions Club meet - 1st and 3rd Monday every month at 8.p. m. at the Royal Oak Alderley Edge. Lions are very involved in the Community and funds raised go to the needs of the people who live in the area. Organisers of the Farmers market – Festival Hall Alderley Edge, on 2nd Sunday every month and the Wilmslow Street party on August Bank Holiday – Fun Day for families, friends and the Community.

We are a friendly bunch of people .. come and attend our meetings if you wish to know more about the Lions.

 'Residents are asked to exercise vigilance as at this time of year when the nights are getting lighter and it's becoming warmer there can be an increase in distraction burglaries and bogus callers in Wilmslow and the surrounding areas.

They usually target the more vulnerable members of the community with the intention of tricking their way into people’s homes and stealing money or valuables.  They often claim to be from the council, health organisations or gas, water and electricity companies.  Official visitors should always make an appointment so remember to check their identification and if you’re not expecting anyone, ask them to arrange another appointment when you have someone else with you.  Any suspicious behaviour should be reported to the police immediately.'
